WHEN TO DOUBLE-CHECK
Accuracy depends on two stages — reading the text, then translating it. If either stage stumbles, the result drifts.
If the photo is blurry, tilted, half-cropped, or in heavy shadow, the AI may read the wrong characters first — and confidently translate the wrong characters. Result: a sentence that sounds correct but means nothing.
Quick fixes: re-take with better light, get closer to the text, hold the phone level, or crop to just the text area before uploading.
One-word menu items, button labels, brand slogans, restaurant names — these have multiple valid translations and no surrounding context to disambiguate. Treat the output as a 'best guess', not the final word.
For contracts, medical records, or legal notices, always involve a human translator. AI translation is for understanding, not certification.
